NingeeGully Wildlife Sanctuary
Every year, thousands of Australia's native animals are injured, orphaned or displaced through vehicle strikes, habitat loss, bushfires and other human impacts. At our 18 acres wildlife sanctuary near Braidwood, NSW, we are dedicated to giving these animals a second chance.
Through expert rescue, rehabilitation and carefully managed soft-release programs, we help native wildlife recover and return to the wild. While we have a special passion for macropods, we provide compassionate care to a wide range of native species, working alongside our community, volunteers and supporters to protect Australia's extraordinary wildlife for generations to come.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and conservation of Australia's unique native flora and fauna. Our sanctuary provides a safe haven for orphaned, injured and displaced wildlife, offering the specialised care and support needed to heal, regain natural behaviours and prepare for a successful return to the wild.
Beyond rehabilitation, we are committed to restoring the connection between native animals and their natural environment by supporting healthy ecosystems, protecting biodiversity and creating a future where Australia's wildlife can continue to thrive in the places they call home.
Will is a Red Neck Wallaby and came into care as a baby after he was found alone in Majors creek, NSW. He was in care until he grew to 10kg and has since been released. Wallabies prefer their solitude however sometimes he can be spotted in the sanctuary.
Grace is a special Swamp Wallaby, she is big ball of energy with a heart full of love. She was in care and has been released onsite with Will. She visits now and then. We look forward to her bringing back a joey in the future.
Teddy is an Eastern Grey Kangaroo, who was found alone with a fractured tail. After being rehabilitated over 8months he fully recovered and is now apart of our local wild mob on the sanctuary.
Gilbert came into our care for a soft released. He has been successfully released in the sanctuary and has integrated with the wild mob.
Little George was found alone on the side of the road near Nowra, NSW and since coming into care is growing rapidly and settling into his new temporary home.
Ruby the Swamp Wallaby came into care as a tiny pinky, she has just moved into NingeeGully and loves her new bush surrounds.
